This ship is the ship used by the Joseon Official Delegation that paid visit to Japan for 12 times from 1607 to 1811 to negotiate the political and diplomatic issues.
The Joseon Official Delegation consisted of a total of 400-500 persons with three officers in head official (정사), deputy official (부사), and other officers(종사관) along with painters, doctors, interpreters, musicians, horsemen and others.
They were sent in 6 ships for the Joseon Official Delegation fleet to sail to Japan and the Joseon Official Delegation had the largest ships of the time with special building for the Joseon Official Delegation.
The records on the Joseon Official Delegation ships and other ships of the time were conveyed through several documentations of Gakseon Dobon, Hanseong Yujo, Tongmungwanji, Gyemisusarok, Jeungjeonggyorinji and others.
